Itinerary
Day 1: Monday, April 20
- Transatlantic flight from San Francisco (LH & TK flights).
- Dinner, breakfast, and in-flight entertainment on board.
Day 2: Tuesday, April 21 | Venice → Padua
- Arrival in Venice. After baggage claim, meet your tour leader and driver, and transfer to the hotel in Padua for dinner.
Day 3: Wednesday, April 22 | Venice → Padua
- Transfer to Venice. Arrival at "Tronchetto" and transfer by private boat to St. Mark’s Square.
- Holy Mass at St. Mark’s Basilica (to be confirmed).
- Free time. Lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of Venice. Walking through Venice feels like a dream—the brilliant blue canals and the fine mist that sometimes hangs over the city make it feel surreal. It’s no surprise Venice is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Visit the Rialto Bridge and other main squares and monuments.
- Return to the hotel in Padua for dinner.
Day 4: Thursday, April 23 | Padua → Florence
- Morning guided tour of the Basilica of St. Anthony, one of the most venerated Christian sanctuaries. It houses the relics and tomb of St. Anthony of Padua.
- Visit the Eucharistic Miracle site in the Basilica of Santa Justina.
- Holy Mass.
- Lunch in a restaurant.
- Transfer to Florence. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Friday, April 24 | Florence
- Visit Piazza del Duomo, with the majestic dome of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Baptistry of St. John.
- Piazza della Signoria represents the historical center of civil and political life and is adjacent to the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museums in the world.
- Holy Mass and visit to the Church of St. Ambrose, site of a Eucharistic Miracle.
- Lunch in a restaurant. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Florence.
Day 6: Saturday, April 25 | Florence → Assisi
- Travel to Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis (1182–1226).
- Guided tour of the Basilica of St. Francis (entrance included) and the Basilica of St. Clare.
- Lunch in a restaurant.
- Holy Mass and visit to the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis, in the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore – Sanctuary of the Renunciation.
- Dinner and overnight in Assisi.
Day 7: Sunday, April 26 | Assisi → Loreto → Lanciano → San Giovanni Rotondo
- Transfer to Loreto, known for the Sanctuary of the Holy House and the Pontifical Museum and Treasury.
- Holy Mass.
- Lunch in a local restaurant.
- Continue to Lanciano to visit the Sanctuary of the Eucharistic Miracle.
- Afterwards, travel to San Giovanni Rotondo, home of St. Padre Pio.
- Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.
Day 8: Monday, April 27 | San Giovanni Rotondo
- Holy Mass, reflection along the Via Crucis, and visit to Padre Pio’s confessional and cell.
- Lunch in a restaurant (soft drink included).
- Visit Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, the hospital founded by Padre Pio.
- End the day with a Blessing with Padre Pio’s Glove. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.
Day 9: Tuesday, April 28 | San Giovanni Rotondo → Monte Sant'Angelo
- Morning visit to the Sanctuary of Padre Pio, including Santa Maria delle Grazie and the New Church, where his tomb is located.
- Holy Mass.
- Lunch in a restaurant.
- Afternoon visit to Monte Sant’Angelo, a hilltop town known for the Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.
Day 10: Wednesday, April 29 | San Giovanni Rotondo → Pietrelcina → Rome
- Travel to Pietrelcina, birthplace of Padre Pio. Visit his home and the Convent of the Capuchin Fathers.
- Holy Mass at Santa Anna Church.
- Lunch at a restaurant.
- Continue to Rome. Arrival at hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Thursday, April 30 | Vatican City → Rome City Center
- Transfer to Vatican City to attend the Papal Audience.
- Guided visit of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel.
- Holy Mass.
- Lunch in a restaurant.
- Afternoon walking tour from Piazza del Popolo through Rome’s iconic squares and monuments.
- Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 12: Friday, May 1 | Colosseum → Roman Forum → Santa Maria Maggiore
- Guided visit to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum (entrance included).
- See Piazza Venezia and the Victor Emmanuel II Monument.
- Lunch at a restaurant (soft drink included).
- Free time in the city center.
- Holy Mass.
- Return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 13: Saturday, May 2 | Return Home
- Early morning transfer to the airport.
- Arrival home in the afternoon.
